Urgent Call for a Bilateral Ceasefire in Israel and Gaza

Sign our petition today to add your voice to the call for a ceasefire and a path to lasting peace in Israel and Gaza.

As Liberal Democrats, we are deeply committed to upholding the principles of peace, justice, and human rights. The ongoing conflict in Israel and Gaza has resulted in a devastating humanitarian crisis. Thousands of innocent civilians, including children, have lost their lives and millions more are facing displacement and suffering.

We stand in solidarity with those affected by the violence. An immediate bilateral ceasefire is essential to halt this crisis.

It is the first step to ending the bloodshed, addressing the humanitarian catastrophe, and paving the way for a lasting peace based on a two-state solution.

A ceasefire is not a solution in itself, but it is a necessary first step towards de-escalation and dialogue. It provides an opportunity to deliver much-needed humanitarian aid to Gaza, release hostages held by Hamas, and create the conditions for meaningful negotiations towards a comprehensive peace agreement.

We urge the UK government to use its diplomatic influence to press for an immediate bilateral ceasefire. Furthermore, the government to work with the international community to support humanitarian efforts and promote dialogue between the parties involved. We call on all parties to uphold their obligations under international law and respect the rights and dignity of all individuals affected by the conflict.

Together, we can help bring an end to the suffering and work towards a future where Israelis and Palestinians can live in peace and security, side by side.
