Rothwell food waste delay

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 20th Oct 2009

Cllr Stuart Golton (Lib Dem, Rothwell) is still positive despite the delay to the food waste pilot in Rothwell.

Cllr Golton said:

"The people of Rothwell ward are environmentally aware and keen recyclers which is why we were given this opportunity in the first place. It's a shame that the food waste pilot has been delayed, as I know most residents are positive about finding new ways to recycle and we have a strong desire to try this scheme out.

"It does however make sense to wait until the strike has finished and get things back to normal."
