"Do you have the right number?"

Councillor Colin Campbell (Lib Dem, Otley and Yeadon) has welcomed Leeds City Council's memorable new phone number. The number, 0113 222 4444 will make it easier for residents to access council services.

The new memorable number is for residents who have a general enquiry and do not know which service number to call. This number will also replace the existing council switchboard number. Residents will still however be encouraged to contact the specific service numbers where possible.

Councillor Campbell said:

"The new number is simple and easy to remember and will make the lives of residents much easier. It provides and a single point of contact with the council and makes Leeds one of the easiest councils to contact.

"It is far better than the old system which could be confusing and frustrating at times. If you are not sure which department to contact then this is the number for you."
