Council progress in Headingley

Councillors welcome an important announcement on Leeds Girl High School at the full council meeting on 9th April.

Local councillor Martin Hamilton (Lib Dem, Headingley) said:

"The Leader of Council's commitment to work towards retaining the school sports centre as a publicly accessible venue is great news for local residents."

Lib Dem Headingley Councillor James Monaghan added:

"It is also very welcome that officers are working to bring the sports pitches into public ownership."
