Come to Church to Have Your Say Over Hyde Park Improvements

9.58.40pm BST (GMT +0100) Wed 27th Oct 2004

The three Liberal Democrat Councillors for Hyde Park & Woodhouse, Penny Ewens, Kabeer Hussain, and Linda Rhodes - Clayton are holding a residents meeting to discuss plans to refurbish the area around Hyde Park Close and St John's Close. The meeting is to be held at 6.30pm on Thursday 4th November in the Methodist Church on Woodsley Road.

Cllr Rhodes Clayton said "It's essential that this splendid site is well looked after, it's a real asset to the local community. That's why we want local people to be directly involved in any decisions that are taken".

Cllr Ewens added "Some work has already been done to remove rubbish and weeds. There's more to do, but first we want to give people the chance to say what they'd like doing to improve the area."
