Horsforth Hall Park is to get a long awaited access ramp for elderly and disabled people.
The full funding for the new ramp, (£6,900), will come from the north west outer area committee.
The new ramp will lead into the park from Fink Hill car park. This is a popular route and the current path is worn and slippery in damp weather. The area committee funds will be used to tarmac the ramp and will include a central hand rail so it can be accessed from both sides.
Cllr Chris Townsley (Lib Dem, Horsforth) chair, north west outer area committee said:
"This is an amazing addition to Horsforth Hall Park. The new ramp will make a world of difference as the path is well used, very worn and slippery and is currently a nightmare for people to negotiate. Getting this ramp installed will bring peace of mind to many."
