Ebor Gardens has been praised by Ofsted for its outstanding ICT curriculum and teaching that has enabled children to progress significantly since joining the school.
The report, from an inspection carried out in January, described the overall effectiveness of ICT as outstanding. The school was praised for how the subject was integrated across the whole curriculum and their extra curricular activities such as the media club.
Ofsted also highlighted a project where pupils ran a café for Children in Need, had to advertise the café, work out their profit and loss and run the café for the day as particularly excellent as it allowed pupils to take on real life situations.
The inspection included a visit to the school's ICT bus. This helps parents to develop their computer skills and helps them to support their children with school work.
Cllr David Hollingsworth (Lib Dem, Burmantofts and Richmond Hill) said:
"As I understand it this is the first primary school in Leeds to undergo an ICT subject inspection. I would like to thank all of the pupils, staff and parents for all their hard work.
"The ICT bus is in my opinion fantastic. Helping parents to improve their computer skills has obviously paid off as good performance in this subject in particular is linked with the amount of support and equipment available at home."
