The Otley Blind and Partially Sighted Club will be going on a trip to Parceval Hall in Wharfedale thanks to a donation by their local councillor.
The trip will be for about 20 blind and partially sighted people from the Otley and Yeadon area. The day out will give the group some much needed fresh air, company and social interaction as well as a chance to experience Parceval Hall's celebrated gardens and delicious food. Cllr Graham Kirkland has donated £250 from his MICE (Members Improvement in the Community and Environment) fund to help pay for the trip.
Cllr Graham Kirkland (Liberal Democrat, Otley and Yeadon) said:
"I am delighted to help the club in any way I can, this trip we be great for club members to have a much needed day out. I hope the weather is fine for them and they enjoy their day."
