Weetwood councillors Sue Bentley and Judith Chapman are delighted that their efforts to bring the Mini Breeze festival back to the area for a second year have been rewarded.
The festival will be held on Monday August 18th; between 1pm - 5pm on the Tinshill Recreation ground, Otley Old Road.
Councillor Sue Bentley (Lib Dem, Weetwood) commented:
"The Tinshill Mini Breeze was so successful last year that we cajoled the relevant bodies and told them it just had to go ahead again this year. Everybody had a fantastic time at the last one: we had people telling us that it was the best thing to happen in the area for 30 years."
Councillor Judith Chapman (Lib Dem, Weetwood) added:
"We are thrilled that the festival is to return. The event is completely free and promises to be even better than last year's, with bouncy castles, face painting, a techno bus and many other fun activities. There is something for everyone in the family to enjoy."
Councillor Ben Chastney (Lib Dem, Weetwood) said:
"It was so good last year seeing everyone thoroughly enjoying themselves and many people asked if we could have another Mini Breeze this year."
