Liberal Democrat councillor Alan Taylor has given out almost £3,000 worth of council funding, supporting projects and groups around Gipton and Harehills.
The money has been given to a wide range of different organisations and projects such as schools, sports teams, services for the elderly, women's groups and youth groups. It can be used for any purpose but often allows them to carry out extra activities or buy equipment that may not have previously been possible.
Councillor Taylor said:
"I think that it is important that councillors recognise the important work many voluntary and charitable organisations do in our local communities. It is making contributions like these that allow them to continue the good work.
"I am looking forward to seeing the benefits that this extra funding will bring, as I am sure the recipients are too."
