Magic garden opens in inner city Leeds

Penny telling a story Mellow Valley Sure Start centre in Little London have recently opened a magic garden, an interactive play area for the children from the centre.

Local councillor Penny Ewens took a trip to the centre for the official launch of the magic garden to see for herself what all the excitement is about.

Councillor Penny Ewens (Lib Dem, Hyde Park & Woodhouse) said:

" After hearing so much about the magic garden I couldn't wait to go down to the official opening to see for myself if the garden lived up to its name.

"I'm delighted to say that the new garden really is magic. There is so much for the children to do and so many pieces of play equipment to both engage and entertain them. As an ex-teacher I couldn't resist the opportunity to take advantage of the once upon a time chair to tell some of my favourite stories."
