Harehills councillor welcomes news of Kwik Save re-opening

News that supermarket chain Kwik Save are to re-open their Harehills store just weeks after shutting it down has been welcomed by local councillor Alan Taylor.

Councillor the Reverend Alan Taylor said (Lib Dem, Gipton & Harehills) "This is excellent news. When the store closed last month the local community lost a vital amenity. Couple that with the knock-on effect of the resulting job losses, this really was a kick in the teeth for Harehills.

Councillor Taylor added, "The fact that Kwik Save hope to be back up and running soon means that those people like the elderly and infirm, who are unable to travel to shops further afield, won't have to."
