Wednesday 22nd November 2006 has been confirmed as the next meeting date for the popular Headingley Forum. Starting at 7pm sharp, the meeting will be held in the Cardigan Centre on Cardigan Road. The forum will discuss hot topics such as taxi licensing, planning applications and the use of portable urinals in the suburb. Headingley Councillor James Monaghan, who will chair meeting, explained why the forum is such a valuable asset to the local community.
Councillor James Monaghan (Lib Dem, Headingley) said "The Headingley Forum provides a fantastic opportunity for local people to have their say on issues that matter to them. Representatives from the police will be there along with council officers from the licensing, streescene and planning departments. This is the perfect chance for members of the community to come along and tell us what they think about living in Headingley."
