Leeds Hospitals Suffering as a Result of Government Meddling says Local Councillor

Councillor Javaid Akhtar (Lib Dem, Gipton & Harehills) has said that people in his ward will suffer because of turmoil in the NHS caused by Government mismanagement.
Cllr Akhtar said "The cutbacks that are being forced upon hospitals in Leeds aren't the fault of staff working here - they are a direct result of the Government trying to rush a series of reforms at the same time as setting unrealistic targets. In the end communities like Harehills and Burmantofts will suffer most because not only are their hospitals facing cuts, but this is where a lot of the staff whose jobs are under threat live."
