A meeting to discuss issues such as anti -social behaviour is to be held in Gipton, East Leeds. The meeting, set up by local Councillors Javaid Akhtar, Alan Taylor and Leeds East Homes, is to be held on Thursday 9th February. With Police Officers from the local Killingbeck division in attendance the evening gives residents a chance to have their say on the problems facing their area. Also in attendance will be representatives from the Council's Streetscene and Youth Services departments.
Councillor Javaid Akhtar (Lib Dem, Gipton & Harehills) said "I'd like to take this opportunity to invite all Gipton residents come along to the meeting and have their say on what's going on in their area. This is a unique opportunity for local people to get their voice heard and talk to people who can address their concerns. The meeting will be chaired by local residents and will be a consultation with various agencies on how we can improve Gipton for the better."
