Cllrs David Hollingsworth and Richard Brett are supporting the plans to improve East End Park
Local Lib Dem Councillor David Hollingsworth is pleased to announce that the official launch of the Friends of East End Park will be on Tuesday 11th October at the Mencap Centre on Lonesboro Grove/ East Park Parade. The meeting which is open to the public is due to start at 7.30pm. Plans for the launch were drawn up by Cllr Hollingsworth and his ward colleagues Cllr Richard Brett and Cllr Ralph Pryke and members of the Friends of East End Park steering group.
Councillor Hollingsworth (Lib Dem, Burmantofts) said "Both my ward colleagues and I are very excited about the launch. In conjunction with the Friends steering group we have already been able to make some major progress with the park. A £75,000 budget has been agreed to make vital improvements to the park, some of which are now in place such as the "A frame" barriers. We want to keep the momentum going and for local residents to have their say. This is a great opportunity to get in involved in an exciting project that will benefit the whole community."
