Yeadon Tarn improvements begin

As part of a series of works at Yeadon Tarn, the Leisure Department in association with the Environmental Agency are undertaking some bank restoration works and reed bed building along the Airport side of Yeadon Tarn. Cllr Ryk Downes commented "This is the first in a series of improvements to the Yeadon Tarn area that are being undertaken in the next 18 months. Although I am pushing Leeds City Council to carry out the works as a matter of urgency. It is good to see that finally the Tarn area is being improved"
As a result the footpath around Yeadon Tarn will be closed for a period of three full days, starting from Monday 11th July. Fishing and Sailing in the working area activities during this period will not be permitted
