Plans for a new flagship Children's Centre in Little London have met with approval from local Lib Dem Councillor's Kabeer Hussain, Linda Rhodes-Clayton and Penny Ewens. The proposed Children's Centre will be built next to the Little London Primary School in the heart of the Little London community, offering a range of services including high quality play opportunities, childcare and early education for pre-school children. The centre will also offer a range of new services, activities and facilities for parents and children including: advice about training and employment, training opportunities, family support, parent and toddler activities, health advice and information.
Councillor Kabeer Hussain said, "The plans submitted by the Sure Start Partnership are a breath of fresh air for the area. The services and facilities offered by the centre will be second to none and will be of a massive benefit to the local community. The partnership deserve a lot of credit for putting together such an outstanding project."
