A fund of £6,000 has been created by the Inner North West Area Committee to provide skips for community clean ups. The area covers the Weetwood, Headingley, Hyde Park and Woodhouse and Kirkstall Wards. Equipment including litter pickers and brushes can also be provided.
Councillor Hamilton (Lib Dem, Headingley) who is Chair of the Inner North West Area Committee says "These skips are provided free of charge for community clean ups, but hurry, the money is rapidly being used up. Residents interested in organising an event should contact the North West Area Management Office on (0113) 214 4838 for further details"
