Lib Dem Councillor Brenda Lancaster (Moortown) calls for the Council to see to the upkeep of a Memorial to Leeds' Great War heroes.
Cllr Lancaster said "The memorial to the Leeds Pals in Colsterdale needs work to ensure it doesn't fall into disrepair. The Council has an obvious moral responsibility for its upkeep, so I'm asking Officers to ensure that it isn't left untended".
"Many people had relatives who served in the Leeds Pals, and there's still lots of interest in their story. It's surprising just how many people make the journey up to Colsterdale from Leeds to visit the memorial; the least we should do is keep it in good repair".
